Peppermint Bark Oreo

Christmas is quickly upon us, maybe not as quickly as Hobby Lobby led us to believe in July, and I find myself getting more and more into the spirit. Most years I dread the idea of shopping and putting up the tree, but this year I actually cannot wait! I've already started to buy new decorations for my group at work and plan the tree at home. Our friends at Nabisco are also in the holiday spirit as they've released the Peppermint Bark Oreo. I've loved all of their peppermint holiday releases, and love peppermint bark, so I hope these do not disappoint!


Taste Test:

Initial Smell: Chocolate, peppermint, and vanilla frosting....does it really get any better than this? This scent would make a delightful lotion. I would probably be hungry all day (even more than usual), so that maybe that is a bad idea.

Whole Cookie: Oh holy night, the flavors are brightly shining! I'm not even kidding when I say these are heavenly. I've been snacking on peppermint bark dipped pretzels (post to come soon, don't worry!) the last few weeks and these are just as good, if not better. Most reviews I find myself repeating this test a few times to confirm my results. This time I had multiple whole cookies because I literally cannot stop shoveling these into my mouth. Someone please come take these cookies from me!

Half Cookie: Lately half cookie started to seem like a waste of test as it wasn't adding much, but this is definitely an exception! Removing one of the wafers makes it seem like a frosted cookie. Yes, frosted peppermint bark cookie....I'm not even kidding! You really need to try this test, you will not regret it!

Creme Only: This makes me want to put on my fa-la-la-llama Christmas pajamas and eat spoonfuls of this creme while watching It's a Wonderful Life. If that isn't a diabetes day-dream, I don't know what is! I really love the added peppermint candy pieces in this creme! Really gives everything extra flavor and texture.

Overall: I cannot stop eating these damn cookies! I was a big fan of the Candy Cane Oreo, but these are somehow even better! Good luck resisting. I sure am glad I put on my sweatpants for this test lol
